About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join the Technology Finance team. The Lead FP&A Analyst will be responsible for leading strategic finance partnerships with the CIO, line of business, and CFO organizations assuming accountability for all financial management and strategic reporting including; expense initiative analysis, tracking and reporting; monthly forecasting; month-end close processes for financials, headcount, and investment spend; cost allocation transparency; and executive reporting. Strong technical abilities with knowledge of financial systems and related process workflows with the ability to simplify/analyze large data sets in order to tell the story behind the financials will be critical for this role. Additionally, this role will lead and influence enterprise-wide financial transformation initiatives, partnering with business and technology leaders to enhance financial processes, and optimize the financial operating environment across Business IT.

Requirements

5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Strong P&L financial management and forecasting experience.

BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting.
Strong technical skills including Essbase, Microsoft Office suite.
Demonstrated experience fostering strong partnerships, promoting teamwork, and influencing others.
Strong critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus.
Sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.

Responsibilities

Lead complex initiatives on matters related to financial research, analysis, and reporting.
Make decisions in multi-faceted situations, providing advice and technical expertise on matters related to complex financial analysis and forecasting as well as economic research in support of management decision making functions.
Research strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning as well as enhancing reporting systems to support the production of financial reporting and analysis.
Provide support to more experienced professionals in the management of budgeting analysis, forecasting analysis, variance analysis, variance commentary, reporting and reviews, and presentation and project preparation.
Review and analyze complex technical challenges that require evaluation or multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
Make decisions in maintaining effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards.
Meet deliverables and drive new initiatives with solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
