About The Position

The Business Intelligence Director will serve as AFB’s enterprise data leader, aggressively driving the company’s data strategy, governance, and execution. This role goes beyond traditional BI – owning the transformation of data into a competitive advantage by building a high-performance, scalable analytics ecosystem, enforcing accountability for data quality, and ensuring insights directly influence business outcomes across corporate and franchise operations.

Requirements

  • Moving quickly from insight to implementation
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of business intelligence experience
  • Deep experience in franchise or multi-location business models
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL-based data platforms
  • Expertise in one or more data related languages (e.g.: Python [Pandas, NumPy], PySpark, DAX, R, DTL, etc.)
  • Proven ability to build and audit enterprise grade BI environments
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder partnership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own and relentlessly drive the enterprise BI and data strategy, roadmap, and execution priorities
  • Lead and enforce governance across distributed data systems, ensuring consistency, usability, and trust in enterprise data
  • Contribute to defining, standardization and enforcement of governed data across multiple lines of business
  • Act as a strategic partner and challenger to executive leadership, ensuring decisions are driven by the right data
  • Architect and oversee scalable data models, pipelines, transformation notebooks and reporting frameworks
  • Create and manage a dependable data infrastructure
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, compliance, and security are non-negotiable standards across the enterprise
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies in data usage and systematically implement solutions
  • Establish a culture of data accountability and ownership across all functions
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing data and analytics team, setting a high bar for performance and impact
