Business Intelligence (BI) Intern
About The Position
Concerto Renal Services is an industry leader in sub-acute hemodialysis within a skilled nursing facility and/or long-term care facility. We are a rapidly expanding business with a simple mission: reimagining dialysis care, one community at a time. Our model focuses on ensuring those with end-stage renal disease receive the best possible care through a more convenient, centralized, continuous care model. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BI Intern to support our data and analytics initiatives. This role will work closely with the Director of BI and Data Engineering and focus primarily on developing and enhancing Power BI dashboards, while also contributing to Power Apps solutions and SQL-based data processes.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Familiarity with Power BI and/or Power Apps
- Basic understanding of SQL, including stored procedures
- Understanding of data modeling and visualization best practices
- Experience with Excel
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Power Query or DAX
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts
- Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries
- Interest in business intelligence, application development, and data engineering
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Develop and support Power Apps to streamline business processes and improve user workflows
- Assist in writing, updating, and optimizing SQL stored procedures for data transformation and reporting
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable data visualizations and applications
- Assist in data preparation, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting and application needs and improve existing solutions
- Support ongoing BI and data engineering projects and contribute to process improvements
