About The Position

Full Visibility is seeking a Database Engineer to work in Quantico, VA. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance. This position is responsible for applying Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to the enterprise using MicroStrategy (or other BI Tool) and by designing, developing, and deploying an enterprise data warehouse (EDW) in order to support the FBI Training Division’s data analysis requirements. This individual would be responsible for the development of the data warehouse including the design and implementation of the logical and physical data model. This individual will also support the business by creating, adapting, and troubleshooting ETL jobs to populate the Data Warehouse. In addition, this position is responsible for driving the design and analysis discussions to determine the best database design to satisfy functional requirements for advancing the maturity of the organization's enterprise data warehouse capabilities. Finally, this individual would design, develop and implement reports and dashboards using MicroStrategy or similar tool. ​

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Ability to operate largely independently, determine tasking a stakeholder engagement based on investigative analysis of business needs and data sources
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced analytical skills and the ability to apply data science to create actionable stories from user data.
• 6+ years working with enterprise databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• 6+ years of professional experience in software development
• 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
• 4+ years designing and developing data warehouses
• 2+ years of experience working with MicroStrategy products including Desktop and Architect (or 4+ years working with a similar BI tool and received requisite MicroStrategy training)
• 2+ years of professional experience in Power BI, including dashboard design and data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients and executive leadership to discover, understand and define key business factors that help simplify complex leadership decisions
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to clients, adapting communication style to audience needs.
• Communicate ideas and vision for dashboards and analytics to both end-users and developer teams.
• Design, develop, and optimize user-friendly advanced Power BI dashboards to deliver
• Leverage SQL Server and TSQL to access, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Collaborate closely with development and database team.
