About The Position

CSCI Consulting is looking for a BI Business Architect to support our Federal client. In this role, the consultant will deliver a modern Business Intelligence (BI) capability for our Federal client by assessing existing data sources, establishing a common and sustainable data structure, and leveraging government‑owned platforms to improve enterprise visibility. The effort focuses on integrating currently stovepiped and largely unstructured data into role-based dashboards that provide real-time insight into the status of personnel, facilities, security, horticulture, and equipment across the client's globally dispersed sites. Through stakeholder engagement, dashboard development, and training, the contractor will enable our client staff to independently maintain and evolve the BI solution to support informed decision‑making and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Data architecture and data modeling (conceptual and logical)
  • Experience working with unstructured and semi-structured data sources
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Excel data environments
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Federal data environment experience
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture or enterprise data consulting
  • Experience supporting BI or analytics implementations
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
  • Past experience working with a Federal agency
  • Federal experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct enterprise data assessments and data source inventories
  • Lead data needs analysis and gap analysis activities
  • Design a common data framework that can be maintained by Agency staff
  • Recommend data transformation, normalization, and structuring approaches
  • Work with functional stakeholders to translate business needs into data models
  • Support integration of data from SharePoint, Excel, Oracle Financials, and Archibus
