Business Intelligence Analyst

Warfel ConstructionEast Petersburg, PA
Onsite

About The Position

Warfel Construction Company is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our fast-paced, team-oriented organization based out of our East Petersburg, PA office. The Business Intelligence Analyst will help Warfel build and scale a modern, trusted data environment by translating data into reliable insights that driver better decisions across finance, project management, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Understanding of data warehouse and lakehouse concepts — familiarity with how data is structured, stored, and made available for reporting
  • Power BI development experience - you have built dashboards that real users rely on
  • Experience working with data from multiple source systems and translating it into reliable reporting outputs
  • Strong communication skills — you can explain what the data means to someone who does not live in spreadsheets, validate that the numbers are correct, and give stakeholders confidence in what they're looking at
  • DAX proficiency - writing calculated measures and columns, not just using defaults
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure-based data platforms

Responsibilities

  • Design and build Power BI dashboards and reports used by project managers, regional GMs, and executive leadership
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clean, reliable outputs
  • Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Own the WIP reporting process end to end - take the underlying job cost data and get it to where it needs to be so that Warfel has a clean, reliable, fully functioning WIP report accessible through Power BI that leadership can depend on
  • Maintain and improve reporting as business needs evolve
  • Document all report builds, data definitions, and process logic as work is completed
  • Establish and maintain naming conventions and system-of-record designations across the reporting environment
  • Build documentation that supports knowledge transfer — this function needs to be sustainable beyond any one person
  • Serve as an integral part of Warfel's third-party data vendor engagement, supporting deliverable review and helping ensure outputs meet business reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with vendor and internal teams to flag gaps and ensure scope is being executed as intended
  • Collaborate with IT on system access and platform configuration
  • Develop a working understanding of how data flows from source systems into Microsoft Fabric
  • Support pipeline validation — flag refresh failures or data inconsistencies when they surface in reporting

  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation & Public Holidays)
