BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST
About The Position
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic business decisions. This position involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement across various business functions. The analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators. By leveraging advanced BI tools and programming languages, the analyst ensures data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for stakeholders at all levels. Ultimately, this role empowers the organization to make data-driven decisions that enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in writing advanced SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language used for data analysis, preferably R.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or QlikView.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, or Statistics.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and advanced statistical methods.
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data models, reports, and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, and QlikView.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple relational databases.
- Utilize R programming to perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling to support business initiatives.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements and actionable insights.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting regular audits and validation of datasets and reports.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear visualizations and detailed documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging BI technologies to continuously improve data analysis processes.
