About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst reports to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager and supports data analysis and reporting initiatives by aggregating data from multiple sources and developing insights to support business decision-making. This role focuses on building and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data solutions to enhance visibility into operational performance, sales, profitability, and customer behaviour.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience with Power BI, including DAX
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Working knowledge of relational database design and data warehouse concepts
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including writing and modifying queries
  • Working knowledge of SSIS and SSAS fundamentals
  • Exposure to data modeling and ETL processes
  • Understanding of database structures and performance considerations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CPG or manufacturing environments
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Understanding of financial principles and metrics
  • Experience working with financial data, forecasting tools, or reporting

Responsibilities

  • Support reporting and analytics initiatives in collaboration with FP&A and cross-functional teams
  • Assist in identifying and documenting existing reporting processes and contribute to standardization and simplification efforts
  • Develop an understanding of the business to support the definition and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Build, maintain, and enhance reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, IBM Cognos Analytics, and SAP
  • Support the automation of recurring reporting processes where possible
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data marts and ETL processes
  • Monitor data quality and escalate issues to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain databases and reporting environments
  • Gather and translate business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver insights that support business decisions
  • Provide user support and training on reporting tools as needed
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
