Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience analyzing and interpreting data and communicating insights to business stakeholders.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience working with large datasets and combining information from multiple data sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, finance, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience using SQL to query, transform, and analyze data.
  • Experience with Python, R, or other analytical tools.
  • Experience supporting operational, financial, customer service, underwriting, or claims-related analytics.
  • Experience creating automated reporting solutions and improving reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with data governance, KPI development, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Experience participating in cross-functional projects that leverage analytics to improve business outcomes.
  • Experience within the life insurance, financial services, or insurance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Access, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to develop reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses that support business and operational decision making.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards that translate complex data into meaningful and actionable insights for business users.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define reporting needs, and deliver solutions that address business objectives.
  • Conduct analyses of business processes, operational performance, and key metrics to support department initiatives and strategic goals.
  • Support the development and maintenance of automated reporting and data processes that improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business partners and department leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes through data-driven decision making and process improvements.
  • Participate in data governance and data stewardship activities by helping define, document, and maintain key performance indicators, metrics, and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing reporting, analytics, and data transformation initiatives.
  • Perform quality assurance and validation activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
  • Maintain documentation related to reporting processes, data sources, business rules, and analytical methodologies.
  • Stay current on analytics tools, reporting technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve capabilities and effectiveness.
