About The Position

This role is responsible for the servicing and marketing of an assigned book of business. Key duties include analyzing policy forms, comparing coverages, identifying client exposures, and making recommendations. The position also involves managing policy renewals, documenting activities in the Epic system, and utilizing platforms like EPIC, INDIO, CSR24, and Lineslip. The Account Executive will monitor management reports, develop and maintain client relationships through coverage analysis and risk assessment, and negotiate with insurance underwriters. Additionally, the role includes training other staff members and new employees, and leveraging experience to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

• Strong insurance technical skills -- must have deep knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policy forms and insurance industry marketplace.
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage book of commercial business.
• Strong communication skills -- directly works with all VIS Depts, Insurance carrier underwriters and larger clients.
• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 8 years relevant agency experience.
• Insurance broker's license.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Additional insurance designations (i.e., CPCU, CIC) also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the servicing and marketing of a book of business as assigned by direct manager.
• Responsible for analysis of policy forms, complex and detailed coverage comparisons, identifying exposures and making appropriate recommendations to clients and assisting clients with understanding of policy coverages.
• Responsible for renewing all assigned policies to ensure they are issued on a timely basis and in accordance with prescribed workflows. This includes detailed documentation in Epic system.
• Knowledge and use of platforms such as EPIC, INDIO, CSR24 and Lineslip.
• Responsible for monitoring management reports in Epic including Expiration Reports and other reports as assigned by Dept Manager.
• Develops and maintains relationship with assigned commercial clients, including in depth coverage analysis, presentations to clients, analyzing risks and identifying exposures.
• Direct and frequent involvement and negotiations with insurance company underwriters.
• Training of other staff members as well as participation in training of new employees.
• Reliance on extensive experience and judgement to plan and assist in accomplishing department goals as set by department manager and senior management.
