This role involves engaging with business teams to understand challenges, provide thought leadership, and identify how advanced analytics solutions could be leveraged. The analyst will draw conclusions and make actionable recommendations based on analysis, help better leverage, utilize, and instill advanced analytics solutions throughout the organization, and design and develop advanced analytics solutions. Ensuring that these solutions are practical and effective based on expertise and experience is key. The role also includes developing processes and tools to measure and monitor solution performance and value achievement, and continually improving existing analytical based solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Insurance, Business Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Academic or internship experience in actuarial science, insurance, or risk analytics, including exposure to property and casualty (P&C) insurance, Public Liability and Property Damage (PLPD), or liability insurance.
- Experience querying databases (e.g., Oracle or SQL Server) and using at least one programming language (e.g., Python or R).
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to think strategically and translate analytical findings into practical business solutions.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of Exam P - Probability / CAS Exam 1, or progress toward preliminary actuarial exams, preferred.
