About The Position

This role is part of the EGRC Data & Reporting team and is responsible for executing and supporting the Non-Financial Risk Data & Reporting strategy. The individual will manage assigned technical data reporting initiatives with multiple stakeholders, implement development best practices for efficient solutions, documentation, and overall technical functioning of processes. The role involves applying business knowledge to produce meaningful analysis, develop visualizations to illustrate trends, and identify business opportunities. It requires working in partnership with various functional areas to provide day-to-day support and delivery of analytics, executing data requests accurately and timely, and acting as a bridge between business requirements and analytics/reporting needs. The analyst will contribute to identifying key performance indicators, provide suggestions for business needs, identify opportunities for growth and efficiencies, and investigate data/analytics related issues. Ensuring accuracy of data analysis and insights, developing analysis to corroborate proof of concept, and potentially educating business users on integrating analytics into decisions are also key responsibilities. The role involves providing recommendations on financial/monetization goals, building business requirements, facilitating project execution, and utilizing quantitative/qualitative methodologies to interpret and present data. Maintaining knowledge of practices, procedures, and emerging trends within the functional area, protecting organizational interests by managing risks, and adhering to policies/procedures and regulatory guidelines are essential. The analyst will also conduct research, support presentations, and maintain a culture of risk management. They may lead work streams as a project lead or subject matter expert for small-scale projects.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science)
  • Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience or 3+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted.
  • Strong experience in Databricks (i.e. Delta tables, Spark architecture, etc.), SQL, Python, Synapse, GitHub to create efficient, effective, and automated data pipelines and workflows
  • Knowledge of Azure Ecosystem - both technical and process/governance/controls
  • Managing various stakeholder's expectations while gathering requirements, development cycles, and day-to-day operations
  • Experience developing and planning ETL data lineage and documentation
  • Familiar working with Big Data and perform analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • A proactive and highly motivated individual who will take imitative and work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of data visualization/reporting tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of GenAI, Copilot (i.e. Power BI, Github) is a plus
  • Experience/knowledge with TD's Data Governance and Controls processes
  • Basic Data Engineering principles and best practices
  • Ability to create and interpret data models/data products – conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  • Represent the functional area as an analytics & insights professional and key resource.
  • Translate business requirements to analytics and reporting needs, leveraging interpretable tools/techniques.
  • Provide day-to-day support and delivery of analytics insights and collateral.
  • Contribute to the identification of key performance indicators.
  • Provide suggestions, ideas, and opportunities to support business needs.
  • Identify opportunities for business/revenue growth and/or efficiencies.
  • Identify and investigate data/analytics related issues.
  • Ensure data analysis and insights are reviewed to validate accuracy and minimize errors.
  • Develop analysis to corroborate initial proof of concept.
  • Educate/train business users on how to integrate analytics into decisions.
  • Provide recommendations on financial / monetization goals.

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes.
  • May lead work streams by acting as a project lead / subject matter expert for small scale projects / initiatives.
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment, and ensure timely communication.
  • Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for own area of expertise and participate in knowledge transfer.
  • Keep current on emerging trends/developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques.
