About The Position

This position will be working closely with our MRO (Materials Repair Overhaul)/Production Floor Operational Support on our focus for Next Generation Operations. The role involves translating shop execution and operations requirements between technicians, quality control, operation support, and business technology teams. It supports and optimizes shop floor systems, ensures smooth execution of operations and Quality processes, identifies and drives improvements for shop floor processes, and supports system enhancements from requirements through testing and deployment. The specialist will also create training documentation, improve the usability and adoption of technology, partner with various teams to standardize processes and system usage, and support issue resolution and continuous improvement for shop execution and operation support.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
8 years experience supporting or acting as a SME for BT applications, including in depth transactional and cross functional process knowledge preferred.
Extensive knowledge of lean and project management techniques.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

Completion of appropriate training in a Lean manufacturing and project management best practices desired.
Experience creating business case packages and leading their presentation.
Experience with effectively communicating to senior management.
Software application configuration / authorization management knowledge and experience desired.

Responsibilities

Translate shop execution and operations requirements between technicians, quality control, operation support and business technology teams.
Support and optimize shop floor systems such as Solumina, CMP and SAP-Fiori system (CDM, DRO).
Ensure smooth execution of operations and Quality processes including work instructions, routing, quality data collection.
Identify gaps in shop floor processes (execution, data capture, compliance) and drive practical improvements.
Support system enhancements from requirements through testing and deployment.
Create training documentation and help train end users prior to rolling out new enhancements.
Improve usability and adoption of the technology used for technicians, quality, and operation support teams.
Partner with operations, quality manufacturing engineering and operation support to standardize processes and system usage.
Support issue resolution and continuous improvement for shop execution and operation supporting.
Ensures that supported applications-delivered business process provides the appropriate functionality to run the business by leveraging detailed business knowledge.
Leads small scale projects independently.
Assists with project management of large scope technical initiatives.
Identifies where process improvements can be made and works with BT/ERP and business SMEs to create the business case for each initiative.
Responsible for recommending improvements with supported application functionality.
Takes complex business requirements and models them within supported applications.
Act as expert on all details regarding critical business processes and associated requirements.
Understands / evaluates the impact of new processes and how to prepare the business for change.
Using process mapping, lean six sigma and continuous improvement methods, applies these principles to functional business areas.
Has a strong understanding of the reporting tools available and how to apply them (Crystal Reports / Cognos / Power BI etc.).
Leads and assist with the resolution of complex process-related break fix / production issues.
Conducts training and prepares training programs and materials as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
