Business & Financial Advisory Intern (Summer 2027)
About The Position
Moore Colson is a leading CPA and consulting firm in Atlanta with over 40 years of experience, known for its collaborative, client-focused approach and wide range of services. This internship opportunity is for dynamic, motivated, and self-driven students to join the Business and Financial Advisory team in Atlanta from May-August 2027. It offers an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience in auditing and public accounting, preparing interns for a successful career in the field. Successful candidates will work closely with experienced audit professionals and gain exposure to various aspects of audit practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- 0–2 years of audit/public accounting experience
- Strong Excel and audit software skills (CCH Pro fx, IDEA a plus)
- Excellent communication and client service mindset
Nice To Haves
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting with projects including but not limited to weekly and month-end/year-end close processes, management reporting and preparing reconciliations
- Maintaining fixed assets schedules
- Assisting with system design and implementation/conversion
- Calculating and reporting indirect taxes
- Helping clients prepare cash flow and or financial projections
- Assisting clients with payroll processing and 1099 preparation
- Troubleshooting client issues as they arise
