About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant Military Apprentice as part of their Wealth Investment Management (WIM) Operations division. This Business Execution team provides oversight and alignment across individual disciplines including risk and regulatory activities, custody operations, and wealth servicing products. The team ensures consistent standards, strong controls, and high data integrity across these areas. They partner with leaders and specialists to monitor procedures, resolve issues, identify gaps, and promote compliance, strengthening end-to-end quality and enhancing service reliability. The role is part of a U.S. Department of Labor accredited Apprenticeship program, involving structured duties, on-the-job training, coursework, and mentorship under the supervision of a hiring manager, program manager, and mentor. Apprenticeships are designed for professional development in preparation for a post-apprenticeship role, ensuring proficiency and required experience for a fully functioning Business Execution Consultant.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Enrollment into Wells Fargo’s DOL Registered Apprentice Program is required
  • Apprentices are considered full-time employees within the program
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
  • Subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check
  • Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification
  • Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents

Nice To Haves

  • Military experience in any branch of service: Army, National Guard, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard or Reserves
  • Experience supporting Operational Risk, Technology Risk, or Compliance Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management experience
  • Sound analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including importing, exporting, and manipulating data

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root-cause analysis of data following all compliance and business metrics
  • Determine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of work
  • Review and analyze strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectations
  • Utilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverables
  • Present recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of the support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the business
  • Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of business
  • Collaborate and consult with senior leaders and executive management
  • Perform a variety of structured duties, including a combination of (however, not limited to) on-the-job training, coursework and mentorship, under the supervision of a hiring manager, program manager and a mentor
  • Uphold and adhere to Wells Fargo and the Apprenticeship Program, and follow Wells Fargo's prescribed policies, procedures, and employee expectations
