About The Position

Flex is seeking a Business Excellence Leader in Columbia, SC to drive a culture of excellence within the organization. This role will focus on waste removal using lean and six sigma methodologies, guiding initiatives to successful completion. The Business Excellence Leader will act as a change agent, applying Flex Lean Enterprise Values and utilizing Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) techniques to reduce variation, improve processes, lower cycle times, and decrease costs. They will also be responsible for creating and validating processes based on standard work and best practices, identifying and implementing best practices through Kaizen projects, and facilitating continuous improvement transformation activities. The role involves using the Center point portal for data research and cost savings analysis, and achieving subject matter expertise through Industrial, Lean & Six Sigma training and certification.

Requirements

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.
Previous Kaizen project leading/facilitated experience.
Previous Value stream mapping / VSM experience.

Responsibilities

Eliminate waste and create value by reducing process variation for sustainable results.
Utilize Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) techniques to initiate process improvements, cycle time reductions, and cost reductions.

Identify, drive, and Yokoten best practices-based Kaizen projects within defined timelines.
Facilitate Continuous Improvement Transformation activities through Kaizen, workshops, and Small Group Activities.
Comprehend and use the Center point portal for data research and cost saving effectiveness.
Achieve Industrial, Lean & Six Sigma training & Certification to become a subject matter expert.
