About The Position

Skyline Steel LLC, a subsidiary of Nucor Corporation, is seeking a Business Development representative for the Southeast Region. This role can be remote or in-person in Rock Hill, SC. The position involves educating clients and internal teams on Nucor Skyline product capabilities, identifying optimal steel foundation solutions, and prospecting/maintaining customer relationships. The role also includes partnering with customers with in-house engineering, utilizing CRM for data management, and engaging in industry marketing through presentations and participation in trade organizations. A key focus is identifying and developing strategic growth opportunities for steel foundation products and promoting Nucor Skyline in new markets. Safety is paramount in all Nucor roles.

Requirements

Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or business
Minimum travel of 25%, both local and overnight, is required

Nice To Haves

F.E./ P.E. license or ability to obtain license in due time
Experience in heavy civil construction project management
Experience in the steel manufacturing industry

Responsibilities

Successful utilization of technical expertise to educate our clients and our internal Skyline teammates on Nucor Skyline product capabilities and determine the optimal steel foundation solution on a wide variety of applications.
Prospecting and maintaining strong, effective, long-term relationships with customers, agency and consultant clientele in the territory.
Partner with Nucor Skyline customers who have in-house engineering capabilities to help grow and develop relationships between our teams.
Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce) utilization, tracking, and maintaining customer data.
Industry marketing and education through technical presentations, conference attendance, trade organization participation, and overall active industry involvement.
Identification and development of strategic opportunities for growth of the market for steel foundation products.
Development of initiatives to promote Nucor Skyline into growth markets, and execution on those initiatives.
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
