About The Position

WRA Architects is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer to join our Business Development Team. This role is responsible for leading the RFQ (Request for Qualifications) proposal process, primarily for public education clients. The position involves managing the creation of RFQ proposals, coordinating with cross-functional departments, strategic planning, project management, and collaborating with various teams to gather information and craft thorough proposals. The Technical Proposal Writer ensures that proposals are compliant with requirements, complete, and compelling, with accurate information, high-quality branded design, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in written and graphic content creation, print coordination, deadline-driven delivery, shipping, data collection, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or similar field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience producing proposals, company brochures, qualifications packages, presentations, or similar materials required.
  • Experience assembling RFQ materials required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating the production of graphic deliverables accurately and on time.
  • Experience writing, creating, and editing content for various audiences.
  • Expert in Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, MS Excel, MS Word; able to learn and navigate other databases.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively against inflexible deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, open-concept team environment required.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in architecture environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of proposal responses to prospective clients with accurate information, high quality branded design, and on time.
  • Ensure proposals are compliant with requirements, complete, and compelling.
  • Create new content from technical information supplied by architects.
  • Edit content in various ways to suit each RFQ's target audience.
  • Write and edit content independently.
  • Capture approved content, organize it, and warehouse it for quick retrieval.
  • Visualize imagery needed, create it, and solicit graphic designers' assistance and feedback.
  • Gather and organize a large quantity of graphic designed visual elements for quick retrieval.
  • Plan, prioritize, and follow through to ensure completion of a submission document that is accurate, high quality, attractive, and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in other departments.
  • Gather input and content from a variety of stakeholders, prioritize, and craft a final output accordingly.
  • Use templates, adapt them to diverse audiences, apply Company branding elements, and maintain consistent visual appearance in documents.
