The Business Development Specialist will primarily focus on driving outbound calling efforts to secure high-volume discovery meetings with financial advisors. This role requires consistent engagement with leads through targeted calling campaigns and digital outreach to generate new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented with exceptional communication skills, a competitive mindset, and a strategic approach to outreach and follow-up.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in outbound sales, business development, lead generation, or client acquisition roles.
  • Proven success managing high-volume outbound activity and consistently driving pipeline growth through calls, email outreach, and follow-up cadence.
  • Experience converting prospects into qualified opportunities, appointments, or closed business.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms and sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Kixie, or similar systems
  • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk using a computer.
  • Routine use of telephone and email.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of outbound sales experience (preferred).
  • Financial services, wealth management, insurance, or other highly relationship-driven sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute over 250 touchpoints weekly through phone calls, emails, and meetings to generate interest in the company’s services and drive new business opportunities.
  • Utilize tools such as Kixie, Salesforce, HubSpot, and LinkedIn to manage structured lead follow-up cadences and outbound prospecting activity.
  • Continuously refine pitches, call scripts, and outreach strategy to improve engagement rates and maximize conversion opportunities.
  • Track pipeline activity, document prospect progression, and report on key performance metrics to meet established weekly and monthly KPIs.
  • Acquire new Advisor accounts by engaging with leads, nurturing relationships, and converting prospects into clients.
  • Support the full sales cycle by partnering with Advisors to help move opportunities through the pipeline and close new business.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and advisor speaking engagements by staffing booths, networking with attendees, and generating qualified leads.
  • Serve as an extension of the business development team during live events by engaging crowds and identifying new relationship opportunities.
  • Host Advisors visiting headquarters and coordinate meetings, scheduling, presentations, and in-office logistics to ensure professional client experience.
  • Maintain accurate prospect records, business development activity, and follow-up documentation within CRM systems to support pipeline visibility and reporting.
