About The Position

eState Planner is on a mission to improve estate planning for Canadians by empowering professionals with modern, secure tools. Our platform helps legal and financial professionals deliver a more client-focused experience while improving efficiency and accuracy. Built with deep domain expertise, eState Planner combines intelligent, rule-based technology with a user-friendly interface to support the drafting of both simple and complex estate plans. We’re looking for a junior Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us scale our pipeline and expand into new markets. This is a high-impact, entry-level role for someone early in their career who wants to break into SaaS and learn how modern sales teams operate. You’ll play a key role across both: Pipeline generation (supporting and qualifying inbound demand) Market expansion (prospecting into new segments like law firms and financial advisors) You’ll work closely with our Growth team (Sales, Marketing, and CX) and gain exposure across the full customer journey.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer-facing roles, or similar
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable with (or willing to learn) outbound prospecting and cold outreach
  • Highly motivated, curious, and eager to learn
  • Organized and able to manage multiple conversations at once
  • Interest in SaaS, startups, or fintech/legaltech

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HubSpot or a CRM is a plus (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new leads through outbound efforts (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
  • Research and identify target accounts across legal and financial services
  • Book meetings and product demos for Account Executives
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, messaging, and outbound strategies
  • Test and iterate on prospecting approaches as we enter new markets
  • Attend and represent eState Planner at sponsored events and conferences
  • Build relationships with prospects and maintain consistent follow-ups
  • Track activity and manage pipeline in HubSpot
  • Report on key metrics and pipeline contribution
