About The Position

The Business Development Representative, Facilities, develops business for the designated LAN region with municipal, agency, county, and state clientele. The role interfaces with key staff individuals and collaborates with Project Managers. It also supports governmental affairs and fundraising or in-kind activities, coordinates LAN staff involvement in the community, promotes LAN’s visibility, and collaborates with corporate marketing on promotional materials and activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 5 years of industry experience corresponding with the company’s market sector.
• At least 5 years of business development experience in the company’s market sectors.

Responsibilities

• Identify and research target areas while developing and maintaining relationships with governmental officials, city staff, and competitors.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the selection processes of key clients identified in business plans.
• Develop and implement positioning strategies for upcoming projects.
• Identify and pursue new business.
• Assist with governmental affairs and fundraising or in-kind activities.
• Coordinate LAN staff involvement in the community.
• Promote LAN and its visibility, including press releases and sponsorships.
• Collaborate with corporate marketing on brochures, promotional materials, and activities.
• Continually assess competition.
