FieldAI ’s Irvine team is where embodied AI meets real robots, real sensors, and real field deployments. Based in the heart of Southern California’s robotics ecosystem, we build risk-aware, reliable, field-ready AI systems that solve the hardest problems in robotics and unlock the full potential of embodied intelligence. FieldAI is building autonomous systems for real-world environments across construction, infrastructure, and industrial applications. We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive pipeline generation and early customer engagement across inbound and outbound channels. This is not a script-driven SDR role. You will run structured discovery, qualify complex opportunities, and partner closely with Account Executives, Solutions Consultants, and Product teams to ensure high-quality pipeline aligned to real customer needs.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or customer-facing roles
  • Proven ability to generate and qualify pipeline
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to run structured discovery and uncover customer needs
  • High ownership mindset with strong organization and attention to detail
  • Analytical approach to improving performance through metrics
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, early-stage environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or related industries
  • Background in construction (e.g., Project Engineer, Project Manager) transitioning into sales
  • Familiarity with robotics, AI, or field-deployed technologies
  • Experience in high-growth startup environments
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
  • Comfort presenting product concepts on early calls

Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify pipeline through inbound follow-up and outbound prospecting
  • Target high-value accounts aligned with FieldAI’s ideal customer profile
  • Execute multi-channel outreach (email, LinkedIn, events, cold calling) with a focus on quality and relevance
  • Run structured discovery to understand customer workflows, use cases, and buying context
  • Qualify opportunities based on business value, fit, and intent
  • Set well-qualified meetings for Account Executives with clear context and next steps
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce) and contribute to pipeline tracking
  • Iterate on messaging, targeting, and outreach strategies based on performance
