About The Position

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., one of the nation's largest wholesale distributors of building supply products, is seeking a Business Development Manager to promote their outdoor living product offering with a focus on Fortress Railing Products on behalf of the company at all levels of the channel (architect, dealer, builder, and contractor). Develop and maintain expertise in product features and benefits as well as installation techniques. The candidate should possess strong experience and knowledge of building materials as they will be the driving force to help the company reach targeted goals. Travel is required for this position within the state of California and other territories as required.

Responsibilities

  • Make field product introduction calls on architects, contractors and builders on behalf of our distribution and their dealer base in the marketplace.
  • Identify and build relationship with key customers within region to drive growth in the outdoor living category within territory
  • Present continuing education courses to the design professional communities within the defined territory. Record data for submission to Sales Force and the accrediting organization (AIA, ASLA).
  • Participate in dealer sales calls with distribution partners
  • Become familiar with and promote Wolf Outdoor Living products with a focus on Fortress Railing
  • Attend key architect and contractor shows within territory
  • Be willing to work weekends, occasionally if needed
  • Track architect and contractor calls on Salesforce.
  • Responsible for timely feedback and follow-through for new project opportunities.
  • Conduct demonstrations with contractor groups.
  • Participate in trade and contractor shows.
  • Participate in local/state chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and the North American Deck and Rail Association (NADRA).
  • Maintains high attention to detail to ensure all account objectives and needs are met.
  • Safely operate a normal passenger vehicle; a company vehicle will be provided for this position.
  • Adhere to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a professional, courteous, respectful, ethical manner with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Use good judgment and common sense.
