To help us scale and grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business/Sales Development Representative to join our North American sales team, introduce Jumpmind to the market and drive our sales initiatives. You’ll work alongside other members of our sales team to increase revenue through new business, specifically national and international, high-profile retail chains. This role will be perfect for you if you’re a highly self-motivated, energetic, tenacious, and a new business specialist. You’ll have around 2 years sales experience within a fast-moving business, ideally tech, but we’d look at other options! You’re comfortable approaching senior executives and leaders within large businesses, ideally retail, although not essential, and you’ll have a demonstrable passion to help us & yourself to succeed! We aren’t necessarily looking for someone who wants to be client-facing right now. You may be content being purely internal, but you must be credible enough to approach senior target contacts within our potential clients, at least via phone/email.

Requirements

  • Around 2 years sales experience within a fast-moving business, ideally tech.
  • Comfortable approaching senior executives and leaders within large businesses.
  • Some experience of setting meetings with senior executives, & management.
  • A desire and aptitude to work for a small, high-growth business and make an impact on our growth and revenue objectives.
  • A strong understanding of how CRM’s work, ideally Salesforce
  • Experience in preparing sales collateral and presentations for senior level executives and business leaders.
  • A solid work history, ideally within SaaS SME’s.
  • Exceptional communication skills. You’ll be persuasive, professional & adept at engaging with high level external stakeholders through verbal and written platforms.
  • Resilience & tenacity. You won’t be afraid of rejection, & you’ll be able to overcome objections and hurdles to achieve results.
  • Strong organizational skills - should be able to prioritize effectively to meet your targets - and you’ll be happy to work under pressure when needed, to meet KPI’s and help to generate revenue.
  • A somewhat technical mindset with an understanding of retail operations, you’ll pick up our tech quickly & be able to explain it fluently to our target clients.

Responsibilities

  • Generating leads and potentially developing relationships with Heads of Retail, IT or similar, within Specialty Retail, Fashion Apparel & Footwear, Health & Beauty, Home Goods and Jewellery retail verticals, to arrange and confirm meetings.
  • Assisting our sales team to manage our sales pipeline through the funnel towards deal close.
  • Wholly utilising our CRM (Salesforce) LinkedIn, email and other available platforms, to research, investigate and reach out to key contacts via written forms of communication and cold calling.
  • Maintaining our Salesforce, enriching client records with relevant data & updating contact details constantly.
  • Managing inbound leads and responding to enquiries accordingly.
  • Developing an inside sales process, while working closely with other members of our sales team.
  • Assisting with the preparation of sales presentations and pitch decks where necessary.
  • Assisting other members of the sales team with associated administration tasks, as and when required.
  • Conducting other tasks, outside of the sales remit, as necessary.
