About The Position

PagerDuty is seeking a Business Development Representative to join their diverse, customer-focused team. This role reports to a Manager of Sales Development and collaborates closely with Account Executives to generate promising leads and conquer territories. The position involves diving into the sales cycle, exploring opportunities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The Business Development Representative will be the initial point of contact for target accounts, igniting interest through outbound prospecting and educating them on PagerDuty's value. This is an opportunity to unleash potential, make an impact, and be a sales champion.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential customers and build relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage and prioritise multiple leads and opportunities effectively.

  • Passion for technology
  • 1-2 Years experience in outbound prospecting
  • German Fluency Required

Responsibilities

  • Focus on highlighting the unique PD value and benefit our products and services can provide to a customer, emphasizing the impact and solutions that address the customer's specific needs or challenge.
  • Effectively communicate PagerDuty's business value proposition to evaluate interest in making a purchase, demonstrating a strong passion for transformation and innovation.
  • Quickly adapt to the Command of the Message (COM) selling model and employ solution selling/customer-centric sales methods.
  • Establish, oversee, and maintain genuine connections with customers.
  • Consistently achieve sales goals, maintaining a proven track record of success.
  • Exhibit strong collaboration and time management skills to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure that one’s own and other’s work and information are complete and accurate; careful preparation for meetings and presentations; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled to contribute to PagerDuty's long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize best practices in account development to strategically target enterprise accounts, leveraging various communication channels such as phone, email, video, and social technologies.
  • Employ a discovery process to engage in conversations with practitioners and management levels of our target accounts.
  • Proficiently use Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Gong Engage and Demandbase to optimize sales activities and focus.
