About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing SaaS sales team. As a BDR, you’ll be on the front lines of our go-to-market strategy, helping generate qualified opportunities by connecting with nonprofit organizations that can benefit from haku’s fundraising technology. Requirements

  • Passionate about sales, nonprofits, and/or mission-driven work
  • Gritty, self-motivated, and resilient in the face of rejection
  • Strong communicator—both written and verbal
  • Highly organized and able to manage a high volume of outreach without sacrificing quality
  • Curious, coachable, and always seeking ways to improve
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and highly collaborative environment
  • Prior BDR/SDR experience is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in SaaS, fundraising, CRM, or nonprofit technology is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Source and engage nonprofit leads through cold outreach across email, phone, and social channels (LinkedIn)
  • Generate qualified meetings (SQLs) that convert to pipeline for the sales team
  • Equip AEs with relevant account research, call preparation materials, and strategic context ahead of discovery calls
  • Execute outbound campaigns and iterate messaging to increase response rates and meeting conversion
  • Use tools like HubSpot to maintain detailed records of outreach, engagement, and qualification activity
  • Work closely with Account Executives to build account and outreach plans that break into high-value prospects and target organizations
  • Contribute to pipeline creation goals and revenue growth by helping build early-stage momentum
  • Stay up to date on nonprofit trends and how haku’s platform solves for donor engagement and tech fragmentation
