Business Development Representative

Rechat Inc•Austin, TX

About The Position

Rechat is the operating system for real estate, offering a single product that integrates marketing, CRM, transactions, listings, and AI, aiming to replace the fragmented tools currently used by agents. The company partners with brokerages, teams, and agents across North America to modernize real estate processes. Rechat has recently rebuilt its product to be AI-native and is experiencing rapid growth. This role is for a Business Development Representative (BDR) with a core strength in outbound prospecting, particularly cold calling. The BDR will be responsible for identifying, researching, and contacting high-performing real estate teams and brokerages to generate interest in Rechat and create sales opportunities. While follow-up on inbound leads is part of the role, it is primarily an outbound-focused position. Significant phone outreach is expected, requiring comfort with speaking to unexpected contacts, handling objections, and converting outbound activity into qualified conversations. The role is not strictly defined by customer segment (Enterprise or SMB), allowing focus on prospects with significant commercial potential. The BDR will collaborate with revenue leadership and the sales team to define target markets, messaging, channels, and opportunity progression. The emphasis is on generating qualified pipeline and revenue, not just activity. The role involves contributing to the development and refinement of the outbound strategy, testing new approaches, and helping create a repeatable system.

Requirements

  • Proven success generating pipeline in a BDR, SDR, inside sales, or similar outbound revenue role.
  • Significant experience with outbound calling; cold calling should have been a meaningful part of your previous role, not an occasional activity.
  • The ability to explain your past performance using real metrics such as call volume, conversations, meetings generated, conversion rates, and pipeline created.
  • Strong qualification skills: You know how to determine whether an opportunity is worth moving forward rather than simply booking a meeting.
  • Commercial judgment: You understand that not every prospect deserves the same level of sales investment and can prioritize higher-value opportunities.
  • The ability to prospect across different customer segments and adjust your approach based on the size and complexity of the opportunity.
  • Clear, confident communication by phone, email, and video.
  • Persistence and disciplined follow-up without sounding robotic or overly scripted.
  • Strong organization and CRM discipline. HubSpot experience is preferred.
  • Comfort being measured against visible weekly and monthly performance goals.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong overlap with U.S. business hours.
  • Comfort using modern AI tools for research, personalization, preparation, and workflow efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Real estate, PropTech, SaaS, websites, digital marketing, or technology sales experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Outbound pipeline generation: Identify and engage high-performing real estate teams and brokerages.
  • Cold calling: Consistently make outbound calls, create conversations, navigate objections, and identify real opportunities.
  • Multi-channel prospecting: Support phone outreach with thoughtful email, LinkedIn, video, social, and other channels.
  • Prospect research: Understand who you are contacting, why they may be a fit for Rechat, and what is most likely to create a relevant conversation.
  • Qualification: Understand the prospect’s organization, current technology, needs, team structure, timing, buying intent, and commercial potential before moving an opportunity forward.
  • Opportunity prioritization: Recognize which prospects justify deeper BDR and sales investment and which should follow a more transactional path.
  • Qualified meetings: Book conversations for the sales team based on fit and opportunity potential, not simply meeting volume.
  • Follow-up: Run disciplined multi-touch outreach and know when to continue, change your approach, or move on.
  • Inbound follow-up: Respond quickly to inbound leads, qualify them, and route them to the right seller.
  • CRM management: Maintain accurate records of outreach, conversations, qualification, next steps, and opportunities in HubSpot.
  • Funnel performance: Track and understand your calls, conversations, meetings, qualified opportunities, conversion, and pipeline generated.
  • Messaging and feedback: Share what you are hearing from prospects and help Sales, Marketing, and Product improve positioning and outreach.
  • Building the playbook: Help identify what works and turn successful approaches into a repeatable outbound process as the team grows.
