About The Position

Brentwood Hospital is seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative in Alexandria, LA, to act as a liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. This role is responsible for creating demand for the facility’s services through ethical marketing and sales methods. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and the Business Development Team, the BDR will present a positive public image, implement the strategic sales plan, enhance the facility’s brand, manage their assigned territory and accounts, and work towards departmental and facility business development goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced environment. Brentwood Hospital is a 260-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility with over 45 years of service, providing quality care to a diverse patient population. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Demonstrated business development concepts, sales abilities, competency in computer usage, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and skills in application of marketing and sales principles.
  • Creativity and flexibility.
  • Skills in data collection analysis and interpretation.
  • Record of adherence to deadlines.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
  • Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
  • Prefer knowledge of the Louisiana behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the Monroe, LA behavioral health marketplace.
  • Effectively demonstrate and implement Sales Excellence and Service Recovery standards.
  • Effectively maximizes field-based time while maintaining a daily average of 8-10 individual, face-to-face contacts with assigned referral sources concerning facility programs, philosophies of treatment, and clinical outcomes and satisfaction data.
  • Completes all required reports and requests for information in a timely manner. This includes, but is not limited to expense reports, sales call plans and post-call follow-up reports.
