About The Position

At Roadpost, we've spent years building trust with people who need to stay connected beyond cell coverage, in the world's most remote places. That work led to ZOLEO, our global messaging platform powered by the Iridium satellite network, used by adventurers, remote workers, and enterprise teams operating off-grid. Today, we're building the next chapter. ZOLEO is evolving from a hardware-led satellite communicator into a safety and preparedness platform, one that combines intelligent monitoring, automation, and real-time visibility to give people and their Safety Circles confidence when it matters most. We're just getting started, and we want people who want to build it with us. We're hiring a BDR to build net-new pipeline in our high priority segments, such as forestry, mining, utilities, search and rescue teams, and other remote work teams operating beyond reliable cell coverage. These are prospects who aren't finding us through inbound channels today. Outbound is our newest go-to-market motion, and the process, messaging, and playbook are being written. You'll help write them. You're the right fit if you love the cold call, not just tolerate it. You are energized but thinking through the best way to capture attention and cut through the noise. You see the value in studying your own call recordings to improve your approach to secure that next meeting. This isn't the role for someone who needs a warm lead and a polished sequence handed to them. If you're most comfortable working a curated list of inbound hand-raisers, this isn't your seat. But if you're the person who opens doors nobody else thought to knock on, thrives on volume with a sharp edge, and wants to leave your mark on a playbook that will outlast your first year, we'd like to talk.

Requirements

• A Proven Track Record in True Outbound. 2+ years in an outbound sales development / BDR role, with demonstrated success hitting or exceeding pipeline targets through true cold outreach, not inbound-only or warm-lead-only experience.
• Fluency with the Modern Revenue Stack. Comfortable working daily in tools like Apollo or Clay, HubSpot, a dialer such as AirCall, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator or equivalent tools.
• A Metrics Mindset. You understand how activity volume and meeting rates translate into pipeline and sales targets, and you manage your own funnel against those numbers.
• Qualification Discipline. You know qualification is the job, not a formality; you apply clear criteria in your process.
• CRM Diligence. Clean, current, accurate records are second nature to you; you track every account and activity without prompting.
• Genuine Curiosity About the Product and the ICP. You're motivated to understand ZOLEO's platform and our buyers deeply enough to have a real conversation, not just run a script.
• AI-Native Working Style. AI is already part of how you prospect, research, and write — this isn't theoretical for you, and it's an expectation for every role at ZOLEO.
• Comfort in Fast-Moving Environments. You're energized by ambiguity and building process as you go, and you collaborate naturally with sales and marketing to shape strategy, tactics, and messaging.
• A Constant Iterator. You test, measure, and adjust your approach continuously; you're never running the same play the same way for long.

Responsibilities

• Generate Net-New Pipeline. Cold call, email, and social-prospect into our ICP daily. The goal is to book qualified meetings for our sales reps.
• Hit and Beat Outbound Targets. Consistently deliver on activity, meeting, and SQL goals with well-qualified, high-quality output, not just volume for its own sake.
• Win the Speed Game. Respond fast and follow up relentlessly; get in front of prospects before anyone else does.
• Own Your Research. Research accounts and personalize outreach so every touch is relevant to that prospect's operation and role.
• Run Clean Sequences. Execute multi-touch cadences across tools like Apollo, HubSpot, and a dialer such as AirCall. You keep HubSpot accurate and current on every account and activity.
• Qualify with Discipline. Apply clear qualification criteria so only sales-ready opportunities advance, and hand off to AEs with complete, useful context.
• Speak the ICP's Language. Develop a deep understanding of ZOLEO's platform and our buyers so your outreach, written and verbal, speaks directly to their operational and duty-of-care needs.
• Bring an AI-First Approach to the Work. Use AI in your day-to-day — for prospecting, research, message drafting, and reporting; you always think AI-first.
• Help Build the Playbook. Test talk tracks, openers, and objection responses with sales and marketing; share what works so the whole team improves. This is a founding outbound seat.
• Stay Coachable and Data-Driven. Review your own calls and metrics, act on feedback fast, and continuously iterate your approach to sharpen performance.
