ASRC Federal is seeking a Business Development Principal with Federal GovCon experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) branches and agencies, with specific focus in logistics, engineering and sustainment. This role is responsible for supporting account management and identifying & qualifying new business opportunities. It coordinates and maintains customer business relationships in domestic and/or international government markets, identifies and develops opportunities for business expansion, and develops marketing strategies and provides input into market account plans and the company's strategic plan. The role acts as a liaison with government agencies and offices, ensures that business development strategy is implemented, and updates opportunity status in the opportunity tracking system of record. It leads/participates in capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business, and develops or helps develop capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; and participates in bid and proposal activities. Specific responsibilities include pipeline development and management, developing customer engagement strategy with Redstone Arsenal, strategic evaluation of accounts and potential business opportunities, and providing input into the Operating Group’s overall business strategy for growth. Effective qualification of opportunities to enhance PWIN and best position deal for successful capture, collaboration and coordination of business development (BD) activities internally ensuring opportunities are prioritized and managed within the business area, and assisting the executive leadership team in setting strategic marketing programs to drive organizational growth and meet established goals are also key. The role involves developing and maintaining strong business relationships with key decision makers in relevant market segments, working with the Operating Group and BD team to leverage all relationships across the targeted market space, developing and managing customer call plans, and developing and executing a tactical sales strategy for the market segment. Based on analysis of customer research, the role develops a strategy to establish new business, expand and grow existing engineering and sustainment business, and supports the creation and execution of multi-year business development strategies for expansion into the sustainment market. Participation in S&A and B&P budget planning for opportunities and compliance to budgets is also required.
