About The Position

Procon E&C is seeking a Business Development & Marketing Manager to identify new clients in the industrial and specialty construction markets, expand sales opportunities, and enhance the company's external image. This is a key role that goes beyond simple sales, focusing on building trust with clients and acting as Procon's representative in the external market. The position involves not only managing existing clients but also discovering new opportunities, networking, client meetings, business dinners, and site visits to increase the likelihood of securing projects. Fluency in both Korean and English is required due to a significant portion of our clients being Korean-speaking businesses and individuals. This role requires close collaboration with the Leadership, Estimating, and Operations teams to convert opportunities into actual project wins.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Korean and English
  • Over 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, client relations, or related fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong business etiquette and judgment.
  • Outgoing, energetic, and confident in meeting new people.
  • Meticulous follow-up skills without errors.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Professional appearance and polished presentation.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, subcontracting, industrial projects, manufacturing, real estate, or B2B services.
  • Existing network within Korean businesses / Korean community.
  • Experience with CRM, pipeline tracking, and sales reporting.
  • Experience in creating presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
  • Understanding of both Korean and US business cultures.
  • Proven track record of new revenue growth and client acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Identify new sales opportunities in the industrial plant, manufacturing facility, and commercial construction markets.
  • Expand bid invitations, negotiated projects, and strategic introductions.
  • Conduct external activities such as client meetings, site visits, networking events, and dinner meetings.
  • Professionally represent Procon at all external touchpoints.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and follow up on opportunities.
  • Support pursuit strategies from initial contact to award.
  • Collaborate with internal estimating/operations teams to support competitive proposals.
  • Participate in go/no-go decisions for key projects.
  • Support future expansion into new regional markets.
  • Maintain regular communication with key and repeat clients.
  • Build long-term client relationships and expand repeat business.
  • Understand client needs, schedules, and decision-making processes.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to client requests and new opportunities.
  • Assist in resolving client issues by collaborating with internal teams.
  • Manage the company's external image and brand.
  • Manage external materials such as company presentations, capability statements, proposal formatting, and brochures.
  • Manage online channels like the website and LinkedIn.
  • Participate in and plan trade shows, networking events, and industry events.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional company message in the market.
  • Manage and support Preconstruction Estimator tasks.
  • Report on market trends, competitors, pricing pressures, and client movements to leadership.
  • Support the expansion of the sales organization as the company grows.
  • Report pipeline status and strategies to management.
