About The Position

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Business Development & Marketing Manager to work in Nairobi, Kenya (Hybrid). Our client is a Kenya-based digital platform building a digital ecosystem for trusted connections and decisions. The platform connects individuals, businesses and institutions through professional and company discovery, jobs and tenders, credential verification, and trusted institutional services. Job Purpose To build the commercial engine that will take the business from launch to scale. The role holder will drive enterprise business development, sales execution, strategic partnerships, go-to-market execution and marketing to deliver measurable commercial traction and a repeatable commercial playbook.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • Approximately 5–7 years of relevant experience across business development, enterprise sales, partnerships, marketing or commercial management.
  • A strong track record of developing new business, winning customers and building relationships with senior corporate decision-makers.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, strategic partnership and proposal-development capability.
  • Practical understanding of digital marketing, customer acquisition, CRM, analytics and commercial reporting.
  • Commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, unit economics, customer acquisition cost, forecasting and ROI.
  • Professional level proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Entrepreneurial, commercially minded, hands-on and relationship-driven.
  • Structured, curious, resilient, ethical and ambitious.
  • High ethical judgement and appreciation of trust, privacy and responsible handling of customer and business information.
  • Comfort operating independently, hands-on and with limited structure in an early-stage, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • High integrity and accountability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA or other postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in technology, SaaS, HR technology, recruitment, professional services, financial services, digital platforms or another B2B environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of prospective corporate subscribers and strategic accounts, converting opportunities from first contact through onboarding and payment.
  • Identify, negotiate and activate strategic partnerships across employers, recruitment firms, universities, professional bodies, HR/payroll providers, financial institutions, technology companies and other ecosystem players.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, commercial pitches and business cases and coordinate product demonstrations.
  • Execute the go-to-market strategy, subscriber acquisition campaigns, launch activities and partnership announcements.
  • Support brand and communications across website content, social media, sales collateral, product communications, press materials and thought leadership.
  • Capture customer and market intelligence to refine the proposition, pricing, packages and product priorities.
  • Establish CRM, pipeline, forecasting, reporting, customer onboarding and commercial dashboards.
  • Track acquisition, subscriber activation, engagement, customer acquisition cost and early retention indicators.
  • Ensure commercial and marketing activities uphold standards of trust, privacy, responsible communication and ethical conduct.
  • Prepare and submit reports to relevant stakeholders within agreed format and timelines.
  • Deliver performance objectives set and institute immediate corrective action where performance is below par.
  • Proactively manage own learning and development.
  • Adhere to the annual leave plan agreed with line manager.
  • Adhere to HR policies.
