Business Development Manager (L3_RR) Torrance, CA

Diverge ITTorrance, CA
$100,000 - $120,000Onsite

About The Position

DivergeIT is looking for a hungry, driven new business hunter to join our team as a Business Development Manager. This is a field-based, outside sales role built for someone who thrives on opening new doors, building pipelines from scratch, and closing net-new B2B deals. You won’t be handed a book of business — you’ll build one. If you love the chase, know how to engage decision-makers at the C-suite level, and want to be rewarded directly for what you bring in, this is your role. You will represent DivergeIT’s full portfolio of managed IT services across the Los Angeles and Orange County market.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of B2B outside sales experience with a proven record of hitting or exceeding quota
  • Demonstrated hunter mentality — you generate your own leads and thrive on new logo acquisition
  • Comfortable presenting to and negotiating with business owners, IT directors, and C-level executives
  • Strong communication, organizational, and CRM skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Only candidates authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in technology, MSP, SaaS, or IT services sales is a strong plus — but coachable sellers from other B2B verticals will be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Experience with HubSpot is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prospect aggressively to generate net-new business through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and field activity
  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline; consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop tailored proposals and ensure a seamless client onboarding experience
  • Develop deep knowledge of DivergeIT’s MSP service offerings to effectively communicate value and differentiate from the competition
  • Execute a high volume of outbound activity daily — calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and in-person visits
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize target accounts across the LA and Orange County market
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline data, and activity logs; report on key metrics to sales leadership
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to overall go-to-market strategy
