About The Position

The Michels Preconstruction Services, Inc. team plays a critical role in the development of large, complex energy, infrastructure, marine and transportation projects. The Preconstruction Services team consists of construction and technical professionals working with one another and with customers to develop creative solutions for turning construction ideas into reliable outcomes. Requirements

  • 3-8 years of experience is required
  • Experience in construction and/or engineering industry required
  • Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record
  • Travel required – will travel up to 50-60% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with public sector work
  • Business development experience is desired but not required
  • Experience presenting to large groups or forums
  • Salesforce experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Developing new business opportunities through relationship building and enhancing Michels' brand awareness, acting as an ambassador to promote the company as the contractor of choice.
  • Engaging with clients and partners to establish a project pipeline and win strategies within your assigned industry, educating stakeholders on collaborative delivery methods.
  • Engaging clients at industry-relevant tradeshows, working with management and marketing to drive growth through effective messaging and investment.
  • Providing direction to Proposal Managers and Marketing for developing collateral content.
  • Ensuring the CRM tool, Salesforce, is accurate and updated.
  • Offering input during bidding to establish pursuit strategies and prepare proposals.
  • Preparing industry insights and actively participating in business development meetings during the annual business planning process.
  • Coordinating cross-selling opportunities and implementing the One Michels approach.
  • Developing project-specific win strategies.
  • Attending industry events to gain local contacts.
  • Supporting the creation of high-quality proposal documents throughout the pursuit process.
