About The Position

The holder of this position must coordinate the cooperation between their area of work with all other areas of the corporation in such a manner that the flow of information is always free of friction, unimpeded, and a holistically positive coordination is assured. This role involves the acquisition and care of customers in a predefined sales area, analysis and development of market potential, and the creation of offers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cooperation with all other areas of the corporation to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Acquire and care for customers in a predefined sales area.
  • Analyze and develop market potential.
  • Create offers for customers.
  • Complete all tasks in a correct, timely, rapid, and cost-efficient manner.
  • Achieve general and specific sales goals regarding market penetration, turnover, and profit in the assigned sales area.
  • Increase the number of customers, especially A-customers.
  • Maintain customer loyalty.
  • Ensure all promises made to the customer by the operational department can be kept and that the customer service department works at capacity.
  • Create a functional pool of mediators to support sales in the sales area.
  • Keep the Sales Manager constantly informed about turnover development, customer base, and unusual occurrences.
  • Strengthen the image and name recognition of the corporation in the region and acquire new customers.
  • Care for potential customers to convert them into customers and maintain their interest in the company's services.
  • Independently research potential customers and qualified contacts.
  • Generate initial contact with potential customers and contacts.
  • Plan customer visits and create a route plan.
  • Build up and care for the customer base.
  • Visit customers and potentials, and conduct sales conversations to obtain jobs.
  • Carry out presentations with customers.
  • Follow up on potential contacts and trade fair contacts.
  • Further the development of sales strategies for the sales area.
  • Perform market analyses and forward results to the Sales Manager.
  • Monitor the competition and forward observations to the Sales Manager.
  • Decide, in concert with management, about giving special discounts or tariffs to customers.
  • Accept queries from customers and write offers with the support of Operations/Customer Service.
  • Write visit reports and forward them immediately to the Sales Manager.
  • Draw up travel expense reports and forward them immediately to the responsible party.
  • Maintain sales statistics and forward them to the Sales Manager.
  • Attend sales meetings, training, and schooling.
  • Advise the Sales Manager during the visitation of regional trade fairs.
  • Represent the corporation at trade fairs and conventions.
  • Constantly inform oneself about the newest developments in the market and new products or services of the company and competitors.
  • Inform the Sales Manager about the effect of and resonance to advertising and marketing actions.
  • Inform the Sales Manager about advertising by the competition.
  • Inform the Sales Manager about suggestions, advice on changes, and complaints by customers.
  • Inform the Sales Manager about the presentation of the company’s service to customers.
  • Inform the Sales Manager about current offers and their chances of success.
  • Perform individual tasks assigned by superiors that are part of the work area or arise out of necessity.
