Business Development Manager

Cymax Group TechnologiesVancouver, BC
CA$65,000 - CA$75,000Hybrid

About The Position

Ready to lead the charge in transforming eCommerce shipping & logistics? At Freight Club, we’re on a mission to revolutionize how large goods move across North America, and we’re looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager (BDM) to help us get there faster. This is your opportunity to join a fast-growing, tech-forward team where your work directly fuels our expansion. You’ll be the driving force at the front of our outbound engine, opening conversations with top eCommerce brands, FBM sellers, and vendors looking to scale smarter with drop-shipping and LTL/parcel solutions. You find and qualify the opportunity. Our Account Directors take it from there. This is a hybrid role, based in the Vancouver, BC area. The ideal candidate will work 2 days in the Vancouver office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

Requirements

  • Solid experience of outbound B2B prospecting experience (BDR, SDR, or BDM), ideally within freight, logistics, eCommerce, or SaaS shipping platforms.
  • Solid understanding of LTL, large-parcel shipping, or eCommerce fulfillment.
  • A proven track record of hitting qualified-meeting quotas consistently, and turning cold outreach into real conversations.
  • You are comfortable working a scoring framework rather than a call list, and you can tell the difference between a busy pipeline and a qualified one.
  • You can sustain high-volume activity across phone, email, and LinkedIn without letting quality slip.
  • You dig into customer pain points and can articulate clearly why Freight Club solves them.
  • Comfortable with CRMs, prospecting and contact-data tools, and sales enablement platforms.
  • Confident communicator who can engage senior stakeholders and represent our brand with polish.
  • You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and love building from the ground up.
  • You want a defined path forward, you take feedback well, and you want to grow into an Account Director role.

Nice To Haves

  • Bonus if you know drop shipping or 3PL.
  • Experience selling to Shopify brands, Amazon FBM sellers, or digital-native verticals.
  • A background in launching new markets, products, or outbound sales channels.
  • Participated in trade shows or events in logistics, eCommerce, or retail tech.
  • Hands-on experience with Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or a similar prospecting stack.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage mid-market and enterprise prospects, especially in high-growth verticals like furniture, home goods, fitness, and other large-item categories.
  • Run outbound prospecting end to end, from first touch through to a booked, qualified discovery call for one of our Account Directors.
  • Work our qualification framework on every prospect, inbound and outbound. Confirm shipping profile, carrier mix, and business model fit before anything gets booked. Holding the line on fit is part of the job.
  • Brief the Account Director with the prospect’s profile, qualification score, confirmed signals, and pain point. Join the top of the discovery call, then hand over the wheel.
  • Use outbound channels (email, LinkedIn, cold calls, trade shows) to build a strong pipeline and open new verticals.
  • Mine our existing client brand network and peer-shipper references for warm paths into new accounts.
  • Represent Freight Club at industry events, building trust and visibility in our core verticals.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and operations to deliver tailored solutions that solve real logistics challenges.
  • Log every prospect interaction in our CRM the same day. A clean pipeline is how the whole team sees the truth.

Benefits

  • Health and wellness support for our team members and their families including an employee assistance program
  • 100% paid premiums for health and dental benefits in Canada
  • Paid time off
  • Easy access to online and phone-based counselling services
  • A hybrid-flexible work environment
  • Opportunities for professional development
