About The Position

In this role, you will drive strategic business development initiatives across the Finance sector, focusing on high-value client opportunities and enhancing market presence. You will work closely with partners, associates, and cross-functional teams to craft compelling pitches, thought leadership content, and targeted campaigns that align with sector strategies. This position combines relationship management, market intelligence, and operational execution to support business growth and client engagement. Success requires a proactive, strategic mindset with strong communication, project management, and analytical capabilities. The role offers exposure to complex legal markets, opportunities to collaborate globally, and the chance to make a tangible impact on firm growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing or business development, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
  • Proven ability to manage business development responsibilities, including RFP preparation, legal directory submissions, and event coordination
  • Strong strategic decision-making, problem-solving, and risk management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation and copywriting capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience navigating marketing systems, online platforms, and databases; generative AI tools a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and operational efficiency
  • Collaborative team player with resilience, adaptability, and a proactive, action-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Finance sector and client needs to inform strategic business development priorities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, attorneys, and associates as a trusted advisor
  • Lead the creation of tailored pitches, presentations, and RFP responses in collaboration with internal teams
  • Support onboarding of lateral partners and drive cross-sector collaboration and cross-selling opportunities
  • Execute marketing and thought leadership initiatives, including events, CLEs, sponsored programs, and award submissions
  • Collaborate with Market Intelligence teams to leverage insights for strategic planning and targeting
  • Ensure business development materials, digital content, and messaging are consistent and aligned with organizational branding
