About The Position

RateHawk is part of Emerging Travel Group, a travel-tech company known for its brands ZenHotels and Roundtrip, operating in over 220 markets. Their mission is to create, distribute, and operate convenient travel products, innovating to make travel more accessible and simpler. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, forging strategic partnerships, expanding the client base, maintaining client relationships, and consolidating the company's presence in the local market. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Sicily, Italy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in the full sales life cycle with a focus on business development and account management of B2B companies.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Up to 40%-50% travel time may be required.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, metrics, and good with numbers, Excel, and dashboards.
  • Proactive, ambitious, motivated, action-oriented, results-focused, with an appetite for innovative technology and comfortable with a fast-changing business environment.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to understand and work across a wide range of cultural contexts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the travel, IT, or e-commerce industries.
  • Competence in API technology deals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales activities and hit sales targets to achieve growth and expand presence in the assigned territory.
  • Sign up new partners (tour operators, travel agencies, travel management companies, OTAs) and provide them with extended training of our system.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing partners.
  • Account management of an assigned portfolio of partners, including first-level support.
  • Follow up with existing partners to provide system training and identify ways to improve cooperation.
  • Prepare, execute, and manage commercial deals with partners, including document flow and technical setup.
  • Control partner compliance with commercial conditions, including payment flow.
  • Spend approximately 40%-50% of working time on business trips, including client meetings and industry events.
  • Provide market and competitive environment analysis.
  • Provide regular comprehensive reporting through CRM and internal systems.
  • Initiate API deals with potential and existing partners.
