As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in our Polaris Connectivity Platform by engaging directly with electrical contractors. Your primary objective will be to increase product adoption, drive project specifications, and strengthen our brand presence at the contractor level. You’ll serve as a key link between the field and our internal teams to ensure we are responsive to market needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development or outside sales experience in the electrical, construction, or related industry.
  • Electrical connectivity experience required for the role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical contractors and the construction sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to travel 70% as needed within the territory.
  • Lives preferably in or around Atlanta area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for or with an electrical manufacturer or distributor preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and develop strong relationships with electrical contractors in your assigned territory or market segment.
  • Conduct regular in-person or virtual visits to contractor offices, job sites, and industry events.
  • Promote the company’s product portfolio and educate contractors on features, benefits, and installation advantages.
  • Work closely with distribution partners and internal sales teams to align strategies and close deals.
  • Track and report contractor feedback, market trends, and competitive activity.
  • Lead contractor-focused initiatives, including training sessions, product demos, and lunch & learns.
  • Collaborate with marketing to tailor campaigns to contractor needs.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals, contractor engagement metrics, and other KPIs.
