About The Position

As a Regional Business Development Manager – West, you will play a key role in expanding Medeco’s presence across the Western United States by working with ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions sales and other sales resources to develop revenue growth. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, sales, and customer relationships—helping organizations protect what matters most while driving sustainable, profitable growth.This position is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys working as part of a larger team, solving complex business challenges, influencing without direct authority, and building partnerships to bring secure, reliable solutions to market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (3+ years in sales, business development, or related roles).
  • Experience in B2B sales, ideally in complex or solution‑based environments.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into action.
  • Comfort working across teams and influencing outcomes in a matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presenting complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in security hardware, electronic access control, construction, or adjacent industries.
  • Familiarity with consultative or solution‑selling models.
  • Lives or desires to live in Southern California, Pheonix AZ, or Las Vegas NV

Responsibilities

  • Drive Market Growth
  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies that expand Medeco’s mechanical and electronic security solutions across multiple sales channels.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform territory planning, pricing strategies, and go‑to‑market execution.
  • Build Relationships That Matter
  • Partner with key customers, distributors, integrators, and sales agents to uncover opportunities and deliver long‑term value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer challenges and aligning Medeco solutions to their business objectives.
  • Support the ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions (DSS) team in sales, technical support and customer engagement.
  • Lead Through Collaboration
  • Work within a matrixed organization, collaborating with ASSA ABLOY sales resources, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service.
  • Support and influence independent and territory‑based sales teams
  • Represent the Brand
  • Represent Medeco at key industry and company events (ISC, GSX, ALOA, SHDA, and others) to strengthen relationships and brand visibility.
  • Be the regional authority on all things Medeco, supporting sales, technical support, customer service, and training
