This position is based in the Philadelphia and South Central New Jersey markets, requiring regular travel throughout the assigned territory. The role involves identifying, qualifying, and closing new independent retail (ethnic grocery, specialty, international market) and foodservice (restaurant, catering, QSR) accounts. The Business Development Manager will develop and execute territory business plans with defined revenue targets, acquisition goals, and segment-specific strategies, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation, contract execution, and ongoing account management. A key aspect of the role is serving as the company's subject matter expert on ethnically diverse food channels, with deep knowledge of consumer preferences across various communities. The position also requires navigating the unique dynamics of the independent channel and building strong relationships with operators and distributor partners.
