About The Position

We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for one of the leading AV equipment rental and sales companies in the industry. This individual will be responsible for developing existing local relationships, nurturing prospective clients within the current portfolio, and sourcing new prospects to expand the client base. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the audio, video, lighting, and LED staging market and a proven ability to convert prospects into long-term, repeat clients. This position reports directly to the National Manager of Business Development.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the AV rental and staging market.
  • High-energy, self-directed professional capable of working autonomously.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand short- and long-term financial impact.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AV rental, staging, production, or subrental markets.
  • Established relationships within commercial, corporate, or event production sectors.
  • Proven success in growing revenue and developing new business territories.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the audio-visual rental and staging market, both regionally and nationally.
  • Identify, pursue, and convert new prospects into consistent, repeat clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to promote service offerings, new capabilities, and special programs.
  • Understand each client’s show schedule and proactively engage regarding upcoming events and sub-rental opportunities.
  • Address client objections and identify opportunities for deeper engagement.
  • Achieve revenue growth and increased subrental market share within the assigned region.
  • Maintain accurate records and share field intelligence through CRM.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure client needs are fulfilled.
  • Take on additional job-related responsibilities as requested by leadership.
