About The Position

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify, evaluate, and prioritize new commercial partnership opportunities aligned with company growth objectives within the Distributed IT (D-IT) organization, part of the Electrical Sector – Americas business. This position will be based in Woodridge, IL or Raleigh, NC and would be reporting to the White Space Development Manager within the D-IT business unit. This individual will be responsible for the successful development and execution of growth through partners by developing and executing business plans, managing a portfolio of partners with commercial relationships and aligning cross-functional teams to meet market demands and achieve financial objectives. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the electrical, industrial or data center segment
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, account management, or commercial strategy

  • Proficiency in enterprise tools, including SAP, Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), and CRM platforms such as Salesforce

  • Experience in B2B, technology, industrial infrastructure, or channel-driven business models.

  • Work will require meeting with customers and partners in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new commercial partnership opportunities aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute partnership strategies to drive revenue, increase market penetration, and expand customer access.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential partners, including manufacturers, alliances, integrators, and ecosystem partners.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to identify emerging partnership opportunities and industry trends.
  • Regularly participate in report outs on partner performance, including forecasting pipelines and backlogs.
  • Collaborate closely with PLMs, Sales, Marketing, Segments, and Ventures.
  • Participate in industry events promoting the strategic vision, collaborating with alliance partners and end customers to provide solutions to growing industry problems.
  • Accountable for partner portfolio health and growth impact results.
  • Build and lead a high-performing engagements that fosters collaboration, accountability, and innovation to execute the organization’s strategic vision and ensure alignment with the data center segment’s goals and priorities.
