Business Development Manager - Smart Infrastructures
About The Position
Influence complex infrastructure projects and accelerate smart grids and smart lighting adoption in a highly regulated European market. LACROIX is a European industrial group designing electronic solutions for critical public infrastructure. Its Environment activity supports utilities and cities in addressing key challenges: grid digitalization, cybersecurity, resilience and regulatory compliance. In the Benelux region, LACROIX already has a strong footprint in smart water. The ambition is now to accelerate smart grids and smart lighting growth, driven by energy transition programs and upcoming European cybersecurity regulations. You develop LACROIX’s smart grids and smart lighting business in Belgium and the Netherlands, positioning the company early in projects, influencing specifications and securing long-term opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience in smart grids or public energy infrastructure sales
- Ability to navigate complex, regulated environments
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills
- Fluent Dutch (or Flemish), French and English
Nice To Haves
- Technical or engineering background
- Experience with utilities or public tenders
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with utilities, integrators and partners
- Influence prescription and technical specifications upstream
- Initiate pilots, tests and proof-of-concepts with customers
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities
- Act as a bridge between customers, marketing and product teams
