About The Position

Ryder is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager (FMS) to drive new enterprise growth within its Fleet Management Solutions division. This is a pure hunter role focused on net-new customer acquisition, strategic relationship development, and full-cycle enterprise sales execution. The role involves positioning Ryder as a strategic fleet and logistics partner, helping organizations improve cost efficiency, operational performance, and scalability through tailored solutions. This role is best suited for professionals who thrive in complex, consultative, high-value B2B sales environments. It is a strategic enterprise growth role where the individual will own a defined territory with significant revenue responsibility, engage directly with C-level and senior decision-makers, influence high-value, long-cycle enterprise contracts, sell integrated fleet and logistics solutions with measurable business impact, and operate within a performance-driven compensation structure with uncapped upside. Success in this role is driven by execution, not tenure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of consistent success in B2B or enterprise sales
  • Proven track record of quota attainment and revenue generation
  • Strong experience in consultative, solution-based selling environments
  • Ability to understand financial drivers, ROI, and operational metrics
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills
  • High discipline in pipeline management and forecasting
  • Self-driven, competitive, and results-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a structured territory growth strategy focused on new business acquisition
  • Build, manage, and advance a qualified enterprise pipeline
  • Conduct deep discovery conversations to understand operational and financial needs
  • Develop and present ROI-driven, value-based solutions to senior stakeholders
  • Represent Ryder’s full suite of Fleet Management Solutions
  • Manage full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close
  • Collaborate with internal partners (Operations, Finance, Safety, National Accounts)
  • Ensure seamless customer onboarding and transition post-sale
  • Maintain disciplined CRM usage, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline visibility
  • Continuously refine sales strategy based on market and competitive insights
