About The Position

Join KnowledgeBrief as a Business Development Manager within their Enterprise team, a close-knit group of six experienced Business Development Managers. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities with large, levy-paying organizations. It requires confident, data-led market research and various outreach methods including telephone calls, email, LinkedIn, and marketing-led campaigns. Enterprise sales cycles can be longer and more complex, demanding a thoughtful and organized approach. You will research target organizations, create tailored outreach campaigns, and build relationships with senior stakeholders such as HR Directors, Learning and Development Directors, and Chief People Officers. This is an opportunity to build lasting client partnerships while helping organizations invest in the development of their people and future leaders.

Requirements

  • Proven success in telesales, business development or a comparable sales role.
  • Confidence generating new opportunities through proactive outreach.
  • A strong track record of working towards and achieving sales targets.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, particularly when engaging senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to research organisations and develop relevant, tailored approaches.
  • Strong organisational skills and the patience to manage longer sales cycles.
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to build lasting professional relationships.
  • The motivation and self-discipline to work effectively within a remote environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling apprenticeships, training or learning and development solutions.
  • Experience working with large or enterprise-level organisations.
  • An understanding of the apprenticeship levy and how organisations can use it to support workforce development.
  • Experience managing sales involving multiple stakeholders and complex decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective enterprise and levy-paying clients.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Develop targeted outreach campaigns based on organisational needs and market insight.
  • Engage prospective clients through telephone calls, email, LinkedIn and marketing activity.
  • Build credible relationships with senior HR, People and Learning and Development stakeholders.
  • Understand prospective clients’ workforce development priorities and identify where our apprenticeship programmes can add value.
  • Manage opportunities through longer and more complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Maintain accurate records of activity, opportunities and pipeline progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Enterprise team and share useful market and client insight.
  • Take ownership of individual targets and contribute to the team’s wider growth objectives.
