About The Position

Kentro is hiring a Business Development Junior Analyst supporting the Kentro Corporate growth team. The Business Development Junior Analyst will be responsible for identifying and supporting targeted growth initiatives across Kentro’s government portfolio, with a focus on Kentro’s Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts. This support will include opportunity identification and analysis, capture execution, and proposal support. More specifically, this role will involve pipeline development research (i.e. identifying opportunities that not only support Kentro’s strategic goals but where we likely have client relationships), incumbent and future contract research (e.g. identifying Contract Value, Period of Performance, and Incumbents), supporting business development capture, owning salesforce updates (to include research notes), and supporting proposal and business development activities across the portfolio. Location: Remote - This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours. Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $60K-$75K annually. Kentro determines compensation by evaluating current government contracting and commercial market conditions, as well as the role’s specific requirements. Final salary placement within this range will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and security clearance level, where applicable. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Must have strong written communication skills, including research, writing, reporting, and Microsoft Office skills
  • Must be self-motivated and have experience working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple responsibilities, and be comfortable with ambiguity
  • Must be confident and able to communicate clearly to leadership on any competing priorities.

  • US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card)
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance or higher

Responsibilities

  • Support the full life cycle of business development processes: track agency budgets, strategic plans, and modernization initiatives to identify relevant opportunities. capture research, and proposal bidding through opportunity closure
  • Monitor all Kentro GWACs for RFIs and RFPs and identify, analyze and distribute opportunities to the respective capture leads throughout the organization.
  • Actively take ownership of opportunity identification and analysis, to include searching of multiple databases including: GovWin, USASpending.gov, and other web-based tool
  • Support capture strategies for targeted opportunities; support meetings with industry partners and prospective customers to gather background information and build competitive offerings
  • In support of developing winning bids, work collaboratively with the capture team by supporting any research requests from best past performance to competitive landscape research
  • Become knowledgeable of existing and new Company offerings and capabilities
  • Develop expertise with Government resources relevant for research and conduct opportunity research in SAM.gov, USA spending, FPDS, and GovWin to collect details on contract values, periods of performance, incumbents, and acquisition approaches.
  • Research competitors and teaming partners by pulling past performance data, reviewing contract histories, and summarizing public information.
  • Keep informed regarding significant customer trends, competitor information, and new marketplace products and innovations
  • Analyze the effectiveness of existing Kentro business development practices and develop repeatable and quantifiable process improvements
  • Support primarily National Security BD leaders through opportunity research, participation in capture sessions, pipeline discussions, and workshops
  • Maintain trackers for opportunities, RFI/RFP releases, and partner engagements.
  • Enter opportunities in Kentro’s Salesforce CRM and update opportunity details in Salesforce as needed
  • Capture detailed notes from BD calls, partner meetings, pipeline discussions, and internal workshops; highlight key actions and follow-ups.
  • Summarize key takeaways from conferences, webinars, or partner sessions into concise reports.
  • Support creation and formatting of deliverables such as capture decks, one-pagers, and research briefs.
  • Monitor corporate partnership portals daily for updates, new requirements, and partnership-related information; maintain and update applicable requirements and documentation in SharePoint to ensure information remains current and accessible.
  • Participate in weekly corporate partnership meetings with representatives from various corporate partners, supporting partnership initiatives, discussing requirements and updates, and assisting with ongoing coordination and relationship management.
