EASTERN TITLE DIVISION Job Description: Business Development Internship – National Commercial Services (Title Industry) Location: Primarily New York City, with exposure to our Hoboken, NJ office and opportunities for client networking or presentations outside the office Schedule/Hours: 32 hours per week, 4 days per week. What You’ll Do As a Business Development Intern, you’ll gain experience across key sales and growth functions, including: Sales & Business Development Learn the tools, strategies, and processes that power effective commercial sales and marketing Support initiatives that drive client engagement and long-term growth Regulatory & Operational Insight Develop an understanding of state regulations governing client interactions, marketing, and co-branding Learn how sales and production teams collaborate to deliver seamless service Client Outreach & Engagement Participate in outreach initiatives to identify new prospects and strengthen existing client relationships Gain insight into how proactive engagement supports long-term business success CRM & Sales Operations Assist with maintaining accurate records of leads, contacts, and activity in CRM systems Learn how data tracking supports strategic sales decisions Market & Industry Research Conduct market research using commercial real estate databases to identify trends and opportunities Support analysis of market activity and competitive positioning Public Records Research Learn to research commercial property records across multiple states, including deeds, mortgages, and recorded instruments Social Media & Brand Visibility Support professional social media engagement, particularly on LinkedIn Assist with content ideas, engagement tracking, and thought leadership initiatives Technology & Innovation Collaborate with the sales team to evaluate corporate-compliant technology and AI tools Contribute ideas that enhance sales workflows and operational efficiency Process Improvement & Projects Share ideas to improve existing procedures and help design new workflows Participate in team meetings and assist with special projects supporting business development strategy What You’ll Gain A high-level understanding of business growth strategy in commercial title insurance Insight into successful title sales practices and relationship management Hands-on experience analyzing revenue, resources, and operational efficiency Professional exposure to senior leaders and client-facing initiatives A strong foundation for careers in commercial real estate, sales, finance, or capital markets Qualifications Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field Strong interest in commercial real estate, capital markets, or insurance Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ; familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools preferred Comfort working with data and conducting online research Exposure to tools such as CoStar, social media analytics, or public land record systems is a plus Initiative-driven, curious, and eager to contribute Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate in a professional environment Professional, personable, and able to communicate effectively via email, phone, Teams, and in person #LI-MO1 The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Position's Pay Range : $25.00 an hour.
