About The Position

The Manager will report to the Head of Business Development Finance and help develop thoughtful and rigorous financial models and critical analyses to assist in the evaluation and execution of (i) primarily external business development activities, including acquisitions, licenses, commercial arrangements, divestitures, minority investments, etc. and (ii) ad hoc internal strategic projects, including assessing the financial impact of new investments, evaluating new product and/or species opportunities, assessing implications of resource planning, etc. The output of these analyses will help advise and guide the senior leaders of Zoetis in key strategic and capital allocation decisions.

Requirements

  • The ability to build and maintain complex valuation models
  • Strong financial acumen with general understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience evaluating a range of business models and identifying key areas of risk and financial due diligence
  • Investment banking, strategic finance, or corporate development background with 1 - 3 years’ experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a finance or accounting discipline
  • Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking, as well as great judgement and integrity
  • Attention to detail and highly organized working style
  • Ability to communicate financial theses across a range of mediums (PowerPoint, Excel, verbally, etc.)
  • Strong leadership and ability to interact with senior level executives, outside consultants, investment bankers, potential partners, as well as all internal Zoetis stakeholders (including Treasury, Tax, Legal, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Fluent written and verbal English is vital.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models
  • Perform financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences
  • Conduct company and industry research
  • Prepare presentations and materials for senior leadership meetings
  • Participate in due diligence sessions and engage with deal team members
  • Manage multiple projects independently and as part of a team
  • Coordinate with Treasury and other finance functions on payments associated with transactions
