About The Position

SAIC is seeking an experienced and visionary Growth Director to drive strategic expansion for a ~$1B Army organization, targeting annual growth rates of 6-10%, supporting critical U.S. Army organizations focused on Army Autonomy. This role requires understanding relationships with Capability Program Executive Mission Autonomy and how cross-cutting robotic and autonomous systems are integrated into UGV/UAS, Fires, Protection, and Agile Sustainment. The Growth Director will develop and execute innovative strategies to position SAIC as a market leader, collaborating across business groups, finance, contracts, marketing, technology, and the Growth organization to achieve ambitious objectives. The Growth Director is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and assisting with the capture of a robust pipeline that supports all Group growth objectives, including qualified pipeline, submissions, awards, investment management, and capability assessments. Additionally, the Business Development Professional will help manage and guide Combat and Strategic Systems focused pursuits, including the development and proposal of validated solutions.

  • Understand shifting Navy buying behaviors and leverage OTAs, CSOs, rapid acquisition, and commercial procurement paths.
  • Develop winning strategies, competitive assessments, teaming approaches, and price-to-win insights.
  • Work closely with Program Managers, SMEs, and technical teams to create mission-aligned, differentiated solutions.
  • Drive pipeline health, ensure disciplined capture execution, and deliver compelling, compliant proposals.
  • Effective management and leadership of Business Development efforts.
  • Communicate resource needs and leverage assigned resources.
  • Collaborate with subject & technical matter experts, functional leads, and Program Managers.
  • Coalesce with business group team members (e.g., program leaders, finance, contracts, etc.), including operational leadership, and SMEs to build and execute call plans.
  • Execute Corporate BD CONOPS and implement SAIC growth culture.
  • Gather, assess, and validate customer requirements.
  • Assess probable competition and evaluate relative strengths and threats.
  • Translate requirements into robust win strategy.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Identify gaps and develop strategies to overcome weaknesses and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct and participate in gate, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews.
  • Support developing teaming agreements and strategic alliances.
  • Manage assigned pipeline (portfolio of opportunities) as the opportunity owner.
  • Drive development and completion of critical bid artifacts required for proposal development.
  • Assume accountability for advancing and maturing opportunities toward high win probability.

  • Conduct and participate in gate, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews; lead and document lessons learned.
  • Support the development of teaming agreements and strategic alliances.
  • Manage assigned pipeline (portfolio of opportunities) as the opportunity owner.
  • Drive the development and completion of critical bid artifacts required for proposal development, ensuring the integrity of the win strategy through supporting roles in color reviews.
  • Support assigned Proposal Manager/Director by assisting with the development of compliant and compelling bids.
  • Assume accountability for advancing and maturing opportunities toward high win probability.
